MEET THE DESIGNER
| LAURA M. SOTO, RID, CKD owner/ licensed interior designer Laura M. Soto is a licensed Interior Designer in the State of Texas and is a CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer). She graduated from the University of Houston (2000) on the dean's list with a bachelor of Fine Arts - Interior Design and a minor in Architecture. She draws on her 10+ years experience in the Kitchen & Bath industry to emphasize creative solutions to every space plan and Interior Design problem. |
| Kitchen & Bath Design Studio was founded in 2005 when I saw the need for a design studio that could help consumers get a grasp on the extensive amount of information available through the Internet and other sources. These new high-tech products and services require the extensive knowledge base of a Kitchen & Bath professional to help make informed decisions. We all want quality in our homes. So, in order to bring great design to our clients we help you combine the latest high-tech products and client-friendly service to achieve a balance that is unparalleled in the industry today. | Laura is currently active in the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association). In the past she has served as VP of Membership, VP of Professional Development, VP of Communications, Secretary, and as Historian she chronicled the chapter's past years in a scrapbook. She is also a member of TAID (Texas Association for Interior Design). Laura enjoys attending local & national conferences such as KBIS (The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) to network and keep up with all of the trends in our ever-changing industry. She also enjoys every aspect of the creative process and working with clients. Laura married her high school sweetheart Ruy Soto on March 1, 2003. She is also a remodeling survivor...doing a gut & remodel of a beautiful 1947 cottage in Garden Oaks and then later a whole house redo of a 1990's house in the suburbs - where she & her family currently call home. Also, Laura is also the mother of two: Gabriela, born in 2005 & Nicholas, born in 2007. |
